The famous Sjöfartshotellet is beautifully located by Slussen (The Lock), near the T-bana, buses and the Djurgården ferry. Next to the hotel is Katarinahissen, the lift that goes up to the heights of Söder by Mosebacke. It´s a five-minute walk to Gamla Stan (The Old City) and to Södermalms main shopping street, Götgatan. The hotel has 212 rooms, half of them were renovated at the beginning of 2011, plenty of garage space, a well equipped gym and a cosy, newly renovated restaurant.
